Unless you have a forklift, and are willing to spend twice as much, Shapeoko is the most capable CNC router you can get. It's the perfect blend of size, speed, and power to make it a great fit for your shop.
Speed
Shapeoko cuts at up to 5000 mm/min, or about 200 inches per minute. That's as fast as we feel comfortable shipping from a safety point of view.
For reference, we use a range of industrial CNC machines in our shop, and we rarely cut faster than 200 in/min for production parts.
All of our spindle options turn at least 24,000 RPM allowing you to cut quickly, even with smaller cutters.
Power
Shapeoko is available with either a Carbide Compact Router or a VFD spindle. Both options are powerful enough to cut wood, plastic, or aluminum.
The VFD spindle is the most powerful spindle that can be run from a standard 120V outlet.
Rigidity
Shapeoko is built on top of our Hybrid Table, a rigid machine base that gives the entire machine a solid foundation.
The Hybrid Table is made from custom aluminum extrusions designed by Carbide 3D. It fully supports the Y rails along their entire length to minimize flexing.
Our motion system is built off of these fully-supported rails so you'll get cleaner, more productive cuts.
Accuracy
Shapeoko 5 Pro and Shapeoko HDM use ballscrews and linear rails to provide the highest accuracy, repeatability, and rigidity we can.
They're the same motion system used on industrial CNC machines.
Size
Shapeoko is available in a range of sizes to fit your shop.
From the compact 16 x 16" Shapeoko 4 and Shapeoko Pro to the largest 4x4 foot Shapeoko 5 Pro, we have a size that will fit your projects.
All of the machines are open from front to back so you can index larger projects through the machine in multiple cutting steps.
That means our 4x4 CNC router will let you use a full 4x8 sheet of plywood.
